Bled to Ljubljana Airport — Private Taxi Transfer

The drive from Bled to Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport takes approximately 35 to 45 minutes via the A2 motorway under normal traffic conditions. We pick you up from your hotel entrance, apartment or private address in Bled and drive directly to the airport — no intermediate stops.

Journey time may vary due to traffic, weather or road conditions. In the summer season, the road from Bled towards the motorway can experience increased traffic, particularly in the morning hours. We factor this into the recommended pickup time when you provide your flight details.

We recommend booking your departure transfer at least one day in advance. For flights departing before 8am, please book as early as possible and confirm your exact pickup time the evening before.

When booking, provide the following information: your hotel, apartment or full address in Bled; your flight number and departure time; the number of passengers and any relevant luggage details.

Based on your flight time, expected traffic and the recommended check-in period at Ljubljana Airport, we agree a pickup time in advance. The driver collects you from an accessible pickup point at the agreed time and drives directly to Ljubljana Airport.

If your accommodation entrance is in a pedestrian-only zone or a restricted-access area, the nearest accessible meeting point will be agreed in advance. Please mention this when booking if you are not sure about vehicle access at your address.

The normal drive from Bled to Ljubljana Airport takes 35 to 45 minutes. However, the total time you need to allow before a flight is longer — it must include the full journey time plus the recommended check-in and security period at the airport.

As a general guide, passengers should be at Ljubljana Airport at least 90 minutes before departure for domestic and shorter European flights, and at least 2 hours before departure for longer international routes or flights with checked luggage. This means leaving Bled approximately 2 to 2 hours 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time, depending on the type of flight and traffic conditions on the day.

In the summer season (July and August), traffic on the approach roads from Bled towards the motorway can be heavier than usual, particularly in the morning. We advise allowing additional time during this period. When you provide your flight details at booking, we will suggest a specific pickup time based on the expected conditions.

For early morning flights departing before 7am, the roads are generally quieter, but the airport itself should still be reached with sufficient time before check-in closes. Please confirm your exact flight time when booking.
