One of the most common questions we get is: how far in advance should I book my airport transfer? Here's a straightforward guide based on what we see throughout the year.
For a standard private car transfer, booking a few days to a week in advance is ideal. For early morning flights (before 7am) or late night arrivals (after 11pm), we recommend booking at least the day before so we can plan the right pickup time and confirm details. The earlier you book, the more flexibility you have — especially in peak season.
The busiest periods at Ljubljana Airport are July and August (summer tourism peak), the Christmas and New Year period, and the ski season (December–March) for routes to Kranjska Gora, Bohinj and the Julian Alps. During these times, minivan availability in particular can be limited — book the minivan at least 2–3 days in advance at any time of year.
We do take last-minute bookings where possible — send a WhatsApp message and we will tell you immediately if we can accommodate you. However, for early morning transfers or routes requiring a minivan, last-minute availability may not be possible. Booking in advance avoids the risk of missing out.
If your flight changes or your plans shift, contact us via WhatsApp or phone as soon as possible. We are flexible — transfers can usually be rescheduled to a different time or date. For cancellations, our policy gives you a refund with a deduction that depends on how much notice is given. The earlier you contact us, the better the outcome.
We cover transfers to a wide range of destinations across Slovenia, Italy, Austria and Croatia. Popular routes include Bled, Venice, Trieste, Portorož and Zagreb.
